My History

I started 814 Window Washing in the spring of 2021 as a side business to my full-time job as a Water Treatment Operator. Inspiration for starting the business began when I was looking for jobs that you could do without a college degree. Professions like plumbers, trash collectors, and others were on the list, but one stood out to me: window washing.

The idea of providing a service that not only enhances the appearance of a home or business but also contributes to the maintenance of properties was particularly appealing. I thoroughly researched window washing companies in the area and discovered that there weren’t many filling this need. Recognizing this gap in the market motivated me to take action. I purchased some simple tools and started honing my techniques on my own windows at home to see if I even liked the work before investing in more professional equipment.

As I gained confidence in my abilities, I began asking family members if I could clean their windows. They were more than willing to help, and through their encouragement and support, my journey as a window washer began. Each job brought new challenges and experiences that helped me refine my skills and develop a better understanding of what customers appreciate in professional window cleaning.

By June of 2022, I had accumulated enough experience and a loyal customer base to take a leap of faith and switch from part-time to full-time window washing. I owe it to all my customers who have trusted me with their properties and allowed me to pursue my passion full-time. Their support has been invaluable in making this dream a reality, and I am committed to providing the best service possible to each and every one of them. As I continue to grow my business, I look forward to building lasting relationships with my clients and contributing positively to the community.
